The Carolina Center for Educational Excellence
Description

The Carolina Center for Educational Excellence is part of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's School of Education. Established as a partnership between UNC and the Chapel Hill Carrboro City School District, the CCEE is a modern learning facility that emphasizes the convergence of Educational Technology, Active Pedagogy, and Space Design. Dedicated to enhancing the learning experience, the CCEE acts as a nerve center for exploring innovative learning approaches through small and large scale collaboration between K-12 and postsecondary educators.

Volunteer Activities
Our volunteer will assist with our annual summer camp. This summer camp aims to teach campers about how gamification strategies can be useful approaches to education as well as entertainment. Our camp uses the latest development software to encourage the creation of serious games and applications. Our volunteer will assist our camp counselors, aid other campers with their projects, checkout and collect laptops and other various technologies, and contribute to our debriefing sessions to help us improve our camp.
