Head for the Cure Foundation

Description

The mission of Head for the Cure is to raise awareness and funding to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. Our volunteers help our participants register, pick up their 5K race packets, hand out medals and waters for the runners/walkers.

Volunteer Activities

Course Monitor -Must be 18+ -Stand on course and direct runners and walkers -Cheer walkers on as they pass Check In -Check in participants -Give them their running bibs and event t-shirt -Take day of registrations and donations Merchandise Table -Supervise the Head for the Cure merchandise sales -Take day of race donations Medals & Water -Hand medals and water to the participants as they cross the finish line Set Up -Set up tents, tables and decorations before the event starts -Help unload everything from the truck Tear Down -Fold up tents, tables and put away decorations -Help load everything back onto the truck
