Pardee UNC Health Care
Description

Pardee Volunteer Services, which includes the Junior Volunteers (Summer High School Program), have the opportunity to provide support for Pardee patients, visitors and staff. Special skills are learned and become invaluable tools for the volunteers such as Customer Service, Compassion, Teamwork, and Sincere Customer Attention. Volunteers are stationed in a variety of departments and are quite helpful by assisting with transporting patients, doing clerical duties, running errands, and restocking. Our volunteers are often ambassadors for the Pardee organization because of their visibility and dedication to their respective volunteer roles. Subsequently, they are giving back to our community by serving others.

Volunteer Activities
We have volunteers who transport patients and visitors in wheelchairs, or escort people to their respective destinations. Some volunteers are in Mammography, Day Surgery, Pre Anesthesia Testing, and the Lab. Other volunteers are in more patient-facing roles including the Emergency Department, Medical, Surgical, Oncology, Cancer Center, Women and Children's unit and Cardiovascular Diagnostics.
