Jenna and Friends Animal Sanctuary
Description

Jenna and Friends Animal Sanctuary is a peaceful refuge outside of Chapel Hill, NC for rescued pot bellied pigs and farm pigs. We started the sanctuary in 2015 and have slowly expanded every year as we rescue more animals and upgrade our fencing and shelter. Our sanctuary is named after our beloved dog and best friend Jenna. She deeply touched our lives in so many ways. We just had to keep her sweet memory alive in our name so she can serve as a constant inspiration and reminder that our mission is and always will be to rescue, care for, and provide love and compassion to our animal friends as long as we live. Our mission is based on three founding principles: (1) provide a loving and safe forever home for pigs in need, (2) serve as an example for others who want to start a small animal rescue in their community with little-to-no funding, and (3) educate others through events and social media about the plight of pigs who suffer the consequences of the breeding and food industries.
