KofC.org, or Knights of Columbus, is a Catholic service organization founded in 1882 to support the community, especially immigrants, and orphans. The Shelby, NC chapter supports the community by working with and raising funds for many local charities like Communities in Schools, Coats for Kids, and North Shelby School for the differently-abled. Shelby KofC also has an environmental facet. We maintain the 200 acre property of the future home of a seminary near Shelby NC. This involves many environmental concerns, the latest is addressing the erosion and sustainability concerns. KofC also involves and supports the local community by hosting community gatherings like an International Festival, Fish Fry's, BBQ's, etc.
