The Rotary Club of Clay County, North Carolina is a local chapter of Rotary International, with the motto "Service Above Self." Our biggest need for volunteers is with our annual Car-B-Que fundraiser on the first Saturday of June every year. Car-B-Que is a classic car show and BBQ dinner on the square in downtown Hayesville, NC. The proceeds from the event support local scholarships and other projects, such as our little free library in the park, playground equipment at the local schools, and wheelchair ramps to help elderly residents stay in their homes.
