Description

The North Carolina Zoo protects wildlife and wild places and inspires people to join us in conserving the natural world. In addition to providing encounters with wild animals living in natural settings, the North Carolina Zoo offers down-to-earth, authentic and memorable ways for families to play and stay together. The NC Zoo also offers a variety of nature-based, educational programs, and camps. Z variety of fun and engaging weeklong and single day camps for rising 1st-3rd graders and rising 4th-6th graders. The Zoo also offers single day camps for rising 7th- 8th graders! Our exciting single day camps will explore the different types of foods that animals eat and how they eat it. Weeklong camps will delve into all aspects of animal diets at the zoo, including preparing diets and how we feed our animals. Middle school day camps will further explore the relationships between food, animals, and humans. Camp Counselor Volunteers assist with onsite registration, activities, lunches, set-up and break-down, and accompany campers as they travel around the Zoo.
